This is a passion project. A heart project.
My biggest goal with photo sessions has always been to give the woman in front of the camera that feeling of being truly seen. In all of her beauty, in all of her power, and in all of her vulnerability, too.
And even though society has been telling us for the longest time that our prime time is in youth, I have come to realise it's just not true. Not true at all.
We grow radical with age.
There is this personality shift. Where you no longer want to be impressive. Where you don't crave anyone's appreciation as much as you crave your own.
Where peace is a top priority, and you are completely unavailable to anything that drains you.
It also comes with a totally different level of self-love and self-respect. Deeper, more accepting.
I observed those incredible women who are living with their hearts wide open, chasing their wildest dreams, laughing, having fun, and being SO radiant that I just cannot take my eyes off of them. So I approached six beautiful ladies, all of them 45+, for an editorial Pro Age session.
We took photographs and we also did short video interviews.
Little did I know that sitting down with them, listening and asking questions... will give the words "I SEE YOU" a whole new meaning.
